A study of planet and moon textures, Mother Moon is the first in a series of planetary and sun paintings and was the inspiration to Simmi's 50 Day art challenge, in which she painted a version of Mother Moon each day, creating 50 versions of Mother Moon to honour Mothers in the making, Mothers within and Mothers who are no longer with us. The piece as been exhibited at Centre Space Arts and at Great Wood Hall, Staffordshire.
