Part of the ongoing #BodyImage series, Honey Lips is a playful yet powerful exploration of voice, identity, and self-acceptance, especially as we move through different stages of life.

Created in a bold pop art and street-inspired style, the piece brings together graffiti text and expressive colour, with “#BodyImage” and “Honey Lips” layered into the composition like the kind of affectionate, familiar language we share with our closest friends.

At the centre is a striking pop art lip, confident, visible, and unapologetic. Surrounding it are gold lip imprints, each one a direct transfer from Simmi’s own lips onto the canvas. These marks are intimate and real, not perfected, not filtered, but honest impressions that speak to presence, expression, and being heard.

Within the #BodyImage project, lips symbolise more than just beauty, they represent voice. The ability to speak, to reclaim, to soften, to express, and to be seen.
